Create a slat#

Under Create, enter length, width, rotation, and gap. Rotation is free; 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, and 90° are useful starting angles for common patterns.

How snapping works#

WoodMinded evaluates the real rotated polygon rather than its rectangular bounding box. Compatible outside edges, corners, endpoints, centerlines, and custom guides become snap targets.

    Select the slat

    Click the part on the board.

    Move it close to the target

    Bring the intended edge near an existing outside edge.

    Check the preview

    The visual indicator shows which connection will be made.

    Release the part

    The snapped position is committed only when you release it.

Move freely#

Disable snapping when you deliberately need unrestricted placement. Turn it back on before continuing precision work.
